A Boulder County judge this morning ruled prosecutors have enough evidence to try a former University of Colorado football player on a charge of sexual assault.
Michael Sipili, who was arrested in January on suspicion of sexual assault, is scheduled to enter a plea to the charge on April 15.
According to an arrest affidavit, former CU football player Michael O’Connor, 21, was having consensual sex with a 22-year-old woman early Dec. 4 at his apartment when Sipili entered the room and, police allege, raped the woman.
O’Connor also was arrested in the case on suspicion of being an accessory to a crime. He’s scheduled to enter a plea on March 18.
