The body of a woman found in a Lakewood motel room Monday morning, prompting a homicide investigation, has been identified.
The Lakewood Police Department and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim today as Danysha L. Turnbough, 31, according to a police department media release.
The body was found at the Rocky Mountain Motel, 6001 W. Colfax Ave., after someone called police to make a welfare check there.
At about 5:45 p.m. Monday, Raymond Marcus Sandoval, 32, was arrested in Oakley, Kan., as a suspect in the case.
A cause of death was not released.
