DENVER—Denver Broncos head athletic trainer Steve “Greek” Antonopulos has won the 2011 Fain-Cain Memorial Award, honoring exemplary performance and a long-term commitment to the NFL.

Antonopulos is entering his 36th season with the Broncos. He joined the team as an assistant athletic trainer in 1976. The team said Tuesday that his tenure is the longest among Broncos employees and the second longest in NFL history among athletic trainers.

The Fain-Cain Memorial Award is named for longtime Houston Oilers physicians Thomas E. Cain and Robert H. Fain.
