BOULDER, Colo.—The number of students who have applied to the University of Colorado is down 1.4 percent from the same time last year, but the number of applications from out-of-state students is up.
The Daily Camera reports CU has received applications from 20,356 prospective students, down from 20,650 at the same time last year.
Admissions Director Kevin MacLennan says about 13,300 of those applications are from students from other states. That’s up 2.8 percent from the number of out-of-state students who applied last year. The number of applicants from Colorado dropped by 8.6 percent.
So far at least 2,262 new students have confirmed that they will enroll at CU in the fall. That’s up 43 percent from the same time last year.
