LOVELAND, Colo.—Colorado revenue agents have seized Schmidt’s Bakery and Delicatessen in Loveland for alleged nonpayment of taxes.

Notices posted on the shop’s front door detailed the taxes owed. The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports owner Harry Schmidt and his employees were told to leave Wednesday morning.

The newspaper reports the bakery’s closure is the second in less than a year, after city officials took control of the business for similar reasons almost a year ago.

The shop’s phone rang unanswered Wednesday.
