DENVER—Denver prosecutors have filed formal charges against nine people after an attack on a 14-year-old boy who was set on fire.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Friday that eight adults and one juvenile were charged in connection with the Feb. 14 attack that left the boy with serious injuries. The eight adults face various charges, but all are charged with child abuse. Four of the adults also face a charge of attempted second-degree murder.
Details on charges faced by the juvenile weren’t released.
The nine who were charged were being held Friday on bond amounts ranging from $50,000 to $150,000. They are due in court Tuesday to be advised of the charges.
