GOODYEAR, Ariz.—Cleveland’s Shin Soo-Choo was in right field for the first time in an exhibition game this spring Friday and reported no problems with his left elbow after playing five innings in the Indians’ 6-2 win over the Colorado Rockies.
Choo had been limited to DH duties this week because of soreness in his throwing elbow, which he hyperextended during his offseason program. He only tested his arm once, one-hopping a throw to the infield on Jonathan Herrera’s third-inning triple.
Orlando Cabrera hit an RBI triple and scored on a throwing error in the Cleveland first off Jhoulys Chacin, who was tagged for five hits in three innings.
Chad Huffman and Lonnie Chisenhall homered for Cleveland.
