DENVER—A Lakewood man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing more than $93,000 worth of items from individuals and golf courses along the Front Range.

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said Friday that 44-year-old Marc Pierre Friel was indicted on 20 counts of theft, criminal mischief, second-degree burglary and first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft.

Friel is suspected of disabling or damaging security measures and devices in order to get to the golf clubs, power tools and other items he allegedly stole between November 2009 and June 2010. A phone number for him could not be found.

The Broomfield Police Department and the Office of the Attorney General worked together on the investigation, dubbed “Operation Caddy Shack.”

The case will be presented in Broomfield County District Court.
