Snowboarder Mark McMorris landed the first-ever backside triple cork 1440 (four full rotations) last week at the park at Snowmass. Filming for the Transworld Project “Park Sessions” which comes out this fall, the 17-year-old Canadian hit it off Jump 5.

“It was something I always thought about,” McMorris says in the Transworld Snowboarding video. “I just wanted a good jump to try it. And here was the perfect place and I was able to do it with support of my friends. So I’m really stoked. It’s an accomplishment for me. I’m really happy.”

At the X Games in January, McMorris was second in slopestyle and fourth in big air.
