The Federal Aviation Administration and officials from Denver International Airport, Centennial Airport and Jefferson County’s Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport will hold public meetings on three consecutive evenings, beginning today, on new satellite-based navigation procedures that will affect aircraft arrivals and departures at the three facilities.
The new procedures are aimed at producing a more efficient flow of planes in and out of the airports. Less noise and reduced fuel burn are part of the goal.
Each of the meetings will run from 5 to 8 p.m. The gathering tonight is at the Denver Marriott South, 10345 Park Meadows Drive in Littleton.
Wednesday’s meeting will be at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, 11755 Airport Way in Broomfield, and Thursday’s meeting will be at the Crowne Plaza at Denver International Airport, 15500 E. 40th Ave. in Denver.
