Spring fling.
Two down, one to go. As high school basketball enters its final rounds, season No. 3 in springing into action. Spring sports have the go-ahead to begin competition today. Baseball, girls golf, boys and girls lacrosse, girls soccer, boys swimming and diving, girls tennis, and boys and girls track and field will complete the 2010-11 school year. As usual, the spring season will battle Colorado’s fickle weather, assorted spring breaks at the outset of the season, end-of-school examinations, prom and graduation into late May, when baseball will officially end the 90th year on record. It’s easily the most trying of the three seasons.
