EAGLE COUNTY — A Georgia man charged with child abuse for punching a 14-year-old girl in the face at Beaver Creek in December has pleaded guilty to third-degree assault, a Class 1 misdemeanor, the Vail Daily said.
Scott Filler, 41, told police after the incident that he thought the teenager had been skiing carelessly when she bumped into Filler’s 4-year-old son.
The judge sentenced Filler to anger-management classes and restitution, as well as a $500 fee in lieu of community service.
