Crude oil futures extended gains today after the U.S. Energy Department said fuel stockpiles declined more than forecast.

Crude oil for April delivery rose 30 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $105.32 a barrel at 10:31 a.m. EST on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Oil traded at $105.11 before the release of the report at 10:30 a.m. EST in Washington.
