FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Jason Probst had 22 points and 10 rebounds as No. 15 Jefferson Academy stunned No. 3 seed 52-40 in the 3A Boys Semifinals on Friday night in Fort Collins.
Drew Matsushima led Valley (21-5) with 15 points.
J.J Schoenhofer’s layup and free throw tied the game at 20 for Valley just before the half. Probst scored 10 points in the third quarter to put Jefferson Academy (19-7) ahead 36-30.
The Jaguars extended their lead to 41-30 two minutes into the fourth quarter. Tanner Schmidt’s layup got Valley as close as 44-38 with 1:10 left in the game, but no closer as Jefferson Academy converted eight free throws in the final minute.
