You don’t have to be a tomato to live in a green house.

That theme looms large at this year’s Denver Home Show, at the National Western Complex.

Wynn Waggoner, the show’s official designer and the person who will head the event’s “Ask the Designer” booth, expects to field questions from people who want to fill their homes with smart, sustainable products but still feel like onlookers rather than participants in the green revolution.

Waggoner’s top green shopping advice: “Consider the life cycle of a product, from the manufacturer to its use.”

Living green, she says, goes beyond buying local, composting, washing clothes in cold water or taking shorter showers. Here, Waggoner shows off some of her favorite, locally produced green building and design materials.
