Although the Jefferson Academy boys endured an eight-point loss in the Class 3A title game, reason for optimism is high. About 6-foot-6, to be precise. One of the Jaguars’ most compelling underclassmen is freshman center Bryson Sharpley, the son of coach Mark Sharpley. The younger Sharpley did not score in the title game, but the work-in-progress received 11 valuable minutes and had one 10-point game in the postseason. “It’s a learning experience and it’s a process,” Mark Sharpley said. “He’s done a good job, and we’ll work hard this summer and get after it.”
