The three Fleming High cheerleaders wore green skirts, carried pompoms and wore green-and-white ribbons in their hair to the Class 1A girls state title game. Normal, right? Not exactly. There’s no official cheerleading squad at Fleming, so Whitney Chintala and Zoey Vandenbark, both 7, and Madisyn Serrato, 5, assumed the role. They even come onto the court and cheer during timeouts. “I like to do cartwheels and cheer them on,” Whitney said.
