ALAMOSA — Members of a bipartisan panel considering new congressional districts were in southern Colorado on Saturday to talk with residents about their district.

The legislative panel, which has been holding hearings around the state, visited Alamosa and Pueblo. Both are in the 3rd Congressional District represented by Republican Rep. Scott Tipton.

The panel also plans a public hearing later in the western part of that district, in Grand Junction. Lawmakers are redrawing Colorado’s seven congressional districts as required after every census.
