There will be some additional water for northern Colorado farmers this season.
Northern Water announced Friday it is leasing 15,000 acre-feet of water from its regional pool program. Water in that program comes from Colorado-Big Thompson Project water that wasn’t used last year. Northern’s board announced the 15,000 acre-feet available for use based on the upcoming runoff season and reserves.
