The city of Boulder on Tuesday changed its official online profile for Mayor Susan Osborne after it was discovered she does not have a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College as her profile previously stated.
On Tuesday morning, Osborne’s profile on the city’s website listed her bachelor’s degree as being awarded by Vassar. Her personal Facebook page at the time listed Vassar College as her undergraduate school, and said she’s part of Vassar’s “class of 1966.”
Osborne did attend Vassar — a prestigious and highly selective liberal arts college in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. — from 1962 to 1964, according to the Vassar registrar’s office.
But she left the school in 1964, transferring her credits to the University of Colorado in the early 1970s. According to records from the CU-Boulder registrar’s office, Osborne completed her bachelor’s degree in sociology in May 1974.
