Police have taken a suspected carjacker into custody in the area of 13th Avenue and Xanadu Street in Aurora. Aurora Police Detective Bob Friel says they were pursuing a suspect on foot for an incident that happened this morning. The suspect ran from officers into a neighborhood. Friel says they had set up a perimeter from Tucson Street to Potomac Street and from Hoffman Boulevard to Colfax Avenue.
The Aurora Sentinel reports the suspect was wanted for an alleged carjacking and police had chased the suspect into a home. The paper reports the suspect was armed and shots were reported in the area.
