BOULDER, Colo.—The city of Boulder is letting five medical marijuana businesses stay open while they appeal orders that they shut down.
The Daily Camera reports the city sent cease-and-desist letters to the businesses this month after a review of their business license applications allegedly found problems with background checks.
The city is letting the businesses stay open through appeal hearings, which weren’t immediately scheduled.
A sixth medical marijuana business that was ordered to close because of a zoning issue remains shut down because it did not appeal its cease-and-desist order.
