LONGMONT — A Longmont man died and three people were injured in a high-speed crash early Sunday at Ninth Avenue and County Line Road.

The accident happened at about 3:30 a.m. According to Longmont police, a 2006 Chrysler 300 heading east on Ninth sped past the stop sign and through a concrete barrier shielding roadwork along County Line Road.

Sgt. Mike Bell said four people were in the car: two 22-year-old men from Longmont, a 23-year-old woman from Denver and a 21-year-old woman from Denver. The driver, one of the men, was pronounced dead at the scene.
