Colorado’s three Division I hockey teams landed at different regionals today as the 16-team NCAA Tournament was announced.

The University of Denver (24-11-5) earned the No. 2 seed at the Midwest Regional in Green Bay, Wis., and will open against No. 3 Western Michigan (19-12-10) on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. MT. The winner will play either No. 1 North Dakota (30-8-3) or No. 4 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (20-12-5) on Sunday.

Colorado College (22-18-3) obtained the No. 4 seed at the West Regional in St. Louis. The Tigers will play Boston College (30-7-1) on Friday at 7 p.m. MT. Michigan (26-10-4) and Nebraska-Omaha (21-15-2) complete that regional.

Air Force (20-11-6) earned its fourth Atlantic Hockey Association playoff championship and NCAA automatic bid in the past five years and will play Yale (27-6-1), the No. 1 overall seed, on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the East Regional in Bridgeport, Conn. Also in that region are Union (26-9-4) and Minnesota-Duluth (22-10-6).

Regional winners will advance to the April 7-9 NCAA Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minn.
