DENVER—Colorado’s vehicle title and registration system has crashed for the second time in two months.
Denver’s KMGH-TV reports the breakdown means vehicle owners can’t get their titles in person at DMV offices.
Department of Revenue spokesman Mark Couch says staff will mail titles to customers once the system is up and running. Officials hope to repair the system by Monday.
A 15-year-old primary system used by the DMV crashed in February. The department went to a 12-year-old backup system, but it crashed during maintenance last weekend.
Arapahoe County clerk Nancy Doty says the breakdown means titles cannot be printed and handed over the counter to customers.
