Two people who died after a shooting late Wednesday that also left three people injured have been identified.

Amara Kamoh Sayon, 22 was pronounced dead as he was transported to the hospital early Thursday. Cherise Houston, 25, was identified as the second victim, who died at the scene.

Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said the shooting happened just before 11 p.m. at the Windsor Court Apartments, 900 S. Quince St., near Leetsdale Drive and Quebec Avenue.

When police arrived they found three men and two women all with gunshot wounds.

According to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, Kamoh Sayon died from a gunshot to the chest. Houston died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Both deaths have been ruled homicides.

Denver Police are still looking for the two men they believe are involved in the shooting.

Before police were called, two men entered the apartment and started a fight with one of the male victims.

At least one of those men opened fire inside the apartment.

The two men fled in an unknown direction. Some witnesses saw a small, dark vehicle leave the area.

Detectives say the apartment appears to have been targeted by the men.

The shooting remains under investigation.
