What I listen to: The largest genre of music I listen to is classical, with some classic rock thrown in there.
The best things on my training table: Pulled pork.
Prerace ritual: Just a standard warm-up, that’s about it.
Time management tip: It’s difficult. It’s all communication. Open lines of communication and be proactive working with the teachers. Finding the teachers, instead of them finding you, is more beneficial.
Planned career: Will likely attend the University of Denver in hopes of becoming a music teacher.
My family: Parents Paula and Sam Parker, sister Anne.
I would love to visit: Chile.
What high school sports mean to me: It’s an opportunity to engage with my peers. It’s less competitive than the racing outside of school, less pressure and a lot more fun. You get to hang out with your friends. It’s more a social event than a performance.
