The man who fled a traffic stop and barricaded himself in a home Friday night for three hours before surrendering has been identified as Mark Perkins, 33.

Perkins had an outstanding warrant for an aggravated robbery in Alamosa. A search of the house turned up three firearms as well as drugs.

At 6:15 p.m. Friday, Denver police pulled Perkins over in the 5300 block of St. Paul Street in Denver. He fled the scene and barricaded himself in a relative’s house where he was living in the 4900 block of St. Paul Street.

It was suspected that Perkins had access to weapons in the house so SWAT was called to the scene. At around 9:40 p.m. he surrendered peacefully.
