From Dodger Stadium to Yankee Stadium, there was a flurry of activity Wednesday as teams got ready for opening day in six major-league parks today. At Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, there were actual flurries.
The forecast for the openers today is a far cry from the beautiful weather projected Friday for the Rockies’ opener at Coors Field. Rain with temperatures in the 40s in Washington, New York and Kansas City; near freezing in Cincinnati.
In Los Angeles, though, temperatures near 80 will greet the Dodgers, facing off against the World Series champion San Francisco Giants.
