Denver police are looking for suspect involved in an armed bank robbery this morning.

At 11:56 a.m., the suspect entered a credit union at 815 North Colorado Blvd., presented a handgun and demanded money, according to Sonny Jackson, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.

The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash stuffed in a black bag with yellow lettering. The suspect was last seen running northbound on Colorado Boulevard.

Police are canvasing the area looking for the suspect who is considered to be armed and dangerous, Jackson said.

The suspect was described as a white man, 40 to 50 years old, 6 foot 3 inches to 4 inches tall, weighing about 200 to 220 pounds, scruffy facial hair and wearing dark sweats.
