A 30-year-old Clifton man an has been arrested in connection with the death of his 1-year-old daughter.
Manuel Angel Rivera was taken into custody Wednesday as a suspect in the March 6 death of his daughter, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
The girl died from Oxycodone intoxication, according to the Mesa County Coroner’s Office.
Rivera is being held on suspicion of reckless child abuse resulting in death and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, among other charges. He is being held without bond.
The case file has been sealed.
