Spring Splash in Winter Park.

The 43rd annual Coca-Cola Classic Spring Splash at Winter Park will take place April 24. Watch skiers and snowboarders manage their way through an obstacle course as they try to gain enough speed to make it across an icy pond at the bottom of the mountain. Function in the Junction.

The downtown Grand Junction Art & Jazz Festival, May 6-8, will be filled with jazz music performed by local and national performers. Galleries will display unique works of art. The event also includes “Art on the Corner,” a year-long outdoor sculpture exhibit in downtown Grand Junction.

The sounds of Yarmony.

The YarmonyGrass Music Festival will be held Aug. 4-6 at Rancho del Rio, near Bond. Not only will a dozen artists perform live, but outdoor activities will be offered, including watersports along the Colorado River, yoga and hikes. Tickets are on sale now.

Mongolia excursion.

Space is still available for the annual Denver Sister Cities excursion to Mongolia, scheduled to leave Denver Aug. 8. Applications are now being accepted for delegates on this trip. Three tour packages will be offered, based on duration, cost and expedition format. Two of the tours are designed for those wishing for a more rugged style of travel, while one tour is planned for those who wish to experience Mongolia at a less rigorous pace. Trips range from 12 to 19 days. Costs are estimated at $4,000-$7,800 per person, double occupancy, including round-trip airfare and in-country travel arrangements. 303-832-6173
