GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL PARK, Colo.—An ex-employee at the Great Sand Dunes National Park is under investigation after the discovery of possible missing money.
National Park Service spokesman Patrick O’Driscoll said Friday that an internal audit uncovered a discrepancy that prompted an investigation. The park service continues its investigation and has brought federal prosecutors into the case.
KUSA-TV first reported the story.
U.S. attorney’s spokesman Jeff Dorschner declined comment.
No charges have been filed.
