EDMONTON, Alberta — The Colorado Mammoth (2-9) didn’t have enough offensive balance and lost 14-10 Friday night to the Edmonton Rush (4-9) at Rexall Place in the front end of a home-and-home series.

Colorado had only three players score: forwards John Grant Jr. and Alex Gajic both finished with four goals and two assists, while forward Joel Dalgarno added two goals and an assist.

A balanced Rush offense that featured eight different goal-scorers, coupled with shaky goaltending by the Mammoth, proved too much for Colorado to overcome, despite outshooting Edmonton 57-49.

The two teams meet again at the Pepsi Center tonight at 7 p.m.
