Dialysis companies led by Denver-based Da Vita Inc. and Fresenius Medical Care AG won’t face a Medicare payment cut this year expected to cost them about $240 million, the U.S. government announced.

Medicare will reverse a previously announced 3.1 percent cut for dialysis services this year, according to a filing Friday by the agency that runs the U.S. government health program for the elderly and disabled.
