WELLINGTON, Colo.—Authorities say a small airplane crashed while trying to land at a Larimer County airport, but no significant injuries were reported.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Department says a student pilot and instructor were aboard the plane when it crashed into a gazebo west of a north-south runway Saturday at the privately owned Owl Canyon Gliderport north of Fort Collins.

Authorities say the student and instructor refused treatment for very minor injuries.

The make and model of the plane weren’t immediately available.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
