NEW YORK — Microsoft Corp. wants companies to stop using Internet Explorer 6, but the campaign is causing problems for businesses.
When Explorer 6 debuted in 2001, many businesses began writing internal Web applications for everything from expense management to process control, and up to 40 percent of those applications don’t work on newer versions of Explorer.
