EDGEWATER, Colo.—Police are trying to sort out who was behind gunfire in a neighborhood near Denver, including some shot fired at police officers.
Denver’s KUSA-TV reports that authorities in Edgewater were questioning 11 people Tuesday morning following the overnight shots.
There were reports of shots fired at a home around 12:30 a.m. and when two officers responded they say someone opened fire on them. SWAT teams from Denver, Jefferson County and Lakewood also responded. Officers took 11 people into custody, including one they think could be the gunman.
Edgewater police spokesman Steve Davis says it looks like two neighboring homes were involved.
