BOULDER, Colo.—Jurors have convicted a man of harassing two foreign-born men in Boulder because of their ethnicity.

The Daily Camera reports 23-year-old Zachrey Harris began to sob quietly as the verdict was read Wednesday and said, “I’m not a racist.”

Harris and 23-year-old Joseph Coy were accused of attacking University of Colorado student Olubiyi Ogundipe, of Nigeria, and his friend Ahmad Abdulkareem, of Saudi Arabia, in September.

Harris testified that he had been drinking and couldn’t remember exactly what he said. He testified that he shouted at the pair after being called a racist term for Hispanic.

Coy is scheduled to go to trial April 18.
