Highlands Ranch-based UDR Inc. exchanged six apartment properties in Southern California and $26 million in cash for three apartment communities and a land parcel. The deal with AvalonBay Communities Inc. is valued at $263 million.
UDR will get two properties and land in the Boston area and a building in San Francisco.
