The Denver Botanic Gardens has a new community program that’s perfect for frustrated gardeners. As part of its Neighborhood Front Yard Makeover contest, DBG’s neighboring homeowners in the Morgan’s District, East Cheesman Park, Capitol Hill and Congress Park neighborhoods can apply for a front-yard redesign with assistance from the Denver Botanic Gardens’ horticultural team and green-industry professionals. Applications will be available May 1 at the information desk inside the gardens’ Bonfils-Stanton Visitor Center. Eligible homeowners should submit an application, short essay describing their front-yard makeover needs and supporting photography to the Denver Botanic Gardens by June 30. Judging will be completed in July, and the yard should be done by late September (with homeowner assistance). Questions?
