Firefighters were called to an Aurora home today after a mattress caught fire.
At 11:36 a.m. firefighters received a call about a fire at 19075 E. Eldorado Drive, according to Capt. Allen Robnett, spokesman for the Aurora Fire Department.
After arriving on scene firefighters discovered the mattress burning in a bedroom. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire and contain the blaze to inside the bedroom.
No one was injured in the fire, but the home was deemed unlivable because of smoke and fire damage, Robnett said.
The Red Cross has been called to the scene.
It was not immediately known how many people, if any were inside the home when the fire started.
What caused the fire is still under investigation, Robnett said.
