DALLAS — Former Avalance coach Marc Crawford was fired Tuesday after just two seasons in charge of the Stars. Although Dallas’ playoff bid went to the final minutes of the regular season, general manager Joe Nieuwendyk decided his club needed another coach to become a contender for the Stanley Cup.
Iginla, Flames sticking together
CALGARY, Alberta — Flames general manager Jay Feaster made one thing clear — Jarome Iginla will return for a 15th straight season with Calgary.
Feaster also said a plan is in the works to re-sign unrestricted free agents Alex Tanguay and Curtis Glencross.
