Police are looking for a suspect they believe stole a car at gunpoint in Colorado Springs last night.
At 9:13 p.m. officers responded to a report of a carjacking at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 2886 S. Circle Drive, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department’s crime blotter.
There they met the victim who told police that the suspect pointed a gun at him and his friend and demanded their wallets.
The suspect told the men to leave the keys in the car. He then fired the gun into the air before driving off in the victim’s four-door silver Volvo.
The suspect was last seen driving the car northbound on Janitell.
The victim described the suspect as a man in his 20s, 6-feet, 2-inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black or dark blue jacket with a hood.
