A person killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision in Aurora has been identified.

Nakeyia Brown, 23, of Aurora, died after a 5:40 p.m. crash Thursday in the 700 block of Potomac Street.

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office released the victim’s name this morning.

Brown was driving an Oldsmobile sedan southbound on Potomac when a Ford F-150 pickup truck, heading north, crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into the sedan, Aurora police said.

Brown was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford and two passengers in the sedan, one adult and a juvenile, were taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not life threatening. Further details on their injuries were not available.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
