Sneakers will hit the pavement tomorrow morning for the first Grier Laughlin 5K memorial race.
The race kicks off at 9 a.m. at the Aurora Reservoir. Anyone who did not pre-register for the race can do so tomorrow.
The day-of-race entry fee is $35 per person.
Racers who pre-registered can pick up their race packet before 10 p.m. tonight at Fitness 19, located at 6770 South Liverpool St. in Aurora.
Laughlin, 37, was killed Feb. 20, when a Ford Taurus, traveling in the wrong direction on E-470, collided head-on with his Chevrolet Yukon sport utility vehicle.
The race was organized in Laughlin’s memory and all proceeds will go to the Grier Laughlin Memorial Fund, which will help create education funds for Laughlin’s three young children.
