DENVER—A second impaled Canada goose seen waddling around a Denver park has been captured and treated.

The Denver Post reported Friday that state wildlife officials began receiving reports of a goose with an arrow through its torso at City Park a few days ago.

The rescuer who captured another impaled goose last month managed to lure the bird in with food. Volunteers from the Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center had the goose’s arrow removed.

They say the wound doesn’t appear to be fatal.

The first goose with an arrow through its chest was caught in March after evading rescuers for more than a month. It was finally captured and the veterinarian who treated the goose said it had been doing well since its surgery.
