A 3-year-old Colorado Springs boy was taken to a local hospital last night after he fell 25 to 30 feet from a third-floor window and landed on asphalt.

According to a police report, a bed was directly under a window of the third-floor apartment on the 1300 block of Potter Drive in Colorado Springs. The child was playing in the bedroom and either leaned or was pushing against the screen of the open window when he fell around 5:15 p.m.

Paramedics arrived and stabilized the boy before taking him to the hospital.

Police said this morning the boy didn’t have any serious injuries.
