GOLDEN, Colo.—Officials say that a pipe bomb discovered in Golden has been successfully detonated by authorities.
City officials say police officers found the bomb Sunday morning in a residential area after a suspicious item was reported in a front yard.
Authorities alerted neighbors within two blocks of the bomb to stay in their homes until officers were able to destroy the bomb.
There were no injuries and no property was damaged.
Police are investigating how the bomb ended up in a front yard. They’re asking for anyone with information to come forward.
