CHEYENNE, Wyo.—The district attorney in Cheyenne has filed charges against a man accused of threatening people and forcing a woman to cross into Colorado with him.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports Laramie County District Attorney Scott Homar charged 23-year-old Anthony M. Gonzales of Cheyenne with kidnapping and four counts of aggravated assault and battery on Monday.

Authorities accuse Gonzales of threatening several people with a box cutter in Cheyenne last Thursday. They say he also kidnapped a woman at knifepoint and took her to Colorado.

The woman was able to get control of the car in Colorado and drive back to Wyoming without Gonzales. Colorado authorities arrested Gonzales while he was trying to hitch a ride.

Gonzales is being held at the Weld County Jail in Greeley, Colo.
